OK. I'm contemplating whether or not I should wait for you to report back on the scary level...

What's the most scary Korean horror movies to you?

I cannot handle The Grudge (US version) so I've never seen the J-version even though I was interested. Too chicken to watch it alone.

Hello dear. Long time no talk! :couplehug:

Glad you liked it! I'm on the "unsure" level - feel like it's OK only. Still prefer kdramas coz these things need time to build up the emotions.

er......usually i watch and got scare....then i forget about it lols...it was the thrill of being scare hahahaha...though my mom refuse to watch scary movies cause it will make her sleepless and dream all sorts of nonsense.....

Korean drama honestly wasnt really that scary....lets take Daebak for example....it was when they rushes or suddenly appear that trigger you off....however as you seen how they work about it...you kinda get set into motion.....even though honestly i will say the double jump from the building around episode 3-5 if im not wrong....was a little scary when we the 2nd ghost being latch onto the other....

@NiteWalker I didn't find Daebak Real Estate scary at all. There might be bits I didn't like seeing, like you said the ghost in the building but I was ok with it once I see how it appears. I think for kdramas, one scene from Hotel de Luna I didn't like - which is the long hair lady ghost locked in the cupboard. Coz any long hair lady ghost in white is just a NO NO (because that just reminds me of Sadako and The Grudge). And the red ghost in Ghost Detective (I still have to complete watching that one) - you know Asian tales about lady ghost in red... eeeeek. She's a good/pretty actress though - one of the leading ladies in Penthouse.

But none of the horror themed kdramas are truly scary-scary for me. It's the movies I can't take. I watched The Grudge in the cinema with friends - WORST idea ever! I knew something was going to pop up, the music was building up the atmosphere for that moment BUT we still jumped and screamed! :shocked2: Ok, like you said, it was thrilling BUT the after-effect was suffering for two weeks hallucinating a ghost is watching me while my eyes are closed etc. :nervous:

This was quite freaky.....I think what scares me most is very realistic exorcism shows. Daebak has a more cartoonish feel

hahaha.... true ... however some of the back stories to each case is sad.....

and also some of the ghost that appear seems pretty normal...another one that felt cartoonish is ‘Master Sun’ to now nothing beat that for me ...

@bairama  @themarchioness erm I don’t find Thai Ghost stories very scary.... I remembered RaakBoon a ghost story that I really like...they weren’t really scary...

Though some of those cursed movies are honestly gruesome ...

Hold on a second you two. CoFFIN shop or CoFFEE shop??

This is two very different thing here! Hahahaha.

Coffin shop - Of course not!!! I have no reason to visit a coffin shop and most definitely wouldn't watch horror movies surrounded by coffins. I can already imagine a scene like in The Mummy where Jonathan scared Evy at the museum.

Coffee shop - Never either since it's too noisy in cafe.

That said, once we were at a Vietnamese suburb. We sat indoor near the glass window/shield and outside a guy was watching porn on his phone in broad daylight. His back was to us so I could see everything :psweatduck:

Hope you're all safe and sound after last night (and still this morning) with the crazy weather @mademoiselle @JenL @TRaNz Did you experience any blackout? I just got my power back .. :taebtsbeg:

Nah, we good up northside, power still here, just very windy and wet outside. I can see many small items and pot plants fallen over and rolling around in the back yard. Ill have to get to them in about an hour or so when it stops raining and the wind dies down. Should all be better by midday, the wind will drop.

How long did you get the outage for?

@TRaNz Think I lost them after midnight (not sure what time) and I got it back at around 4 or 5am maybe? So I thought yay all good.. we're all up and then just when I was about to head out to send my kids to care.. I lost the power again :pandaheadstomp: Lucky hubby was still out there about to get into his car..otherwise I'd have no idea what to do with the garage door!!! And my car was still inside.... Anyway..got it back about 2.5 hours later. Some red lights were down too when I went out..thank goodness road wasn't busy so I was able to cross or turn safely. Oh.. you plant???? :PsyWhat:

@SnowBlob Good over at my end too. The lights were flickering last night before bed. I was able to get out of the garage this morning to work means there's power LOL. Your garage should have a thread thingie that you can pull manually to open the door. I wished I hadn't knew that then I could say power outage, can't go to work, WFH. HAHA.

Question... I would think as a developed country, we would have system in place to prevent power outage due to extreme weather condition... but it doesn't seem like it is any better than the ASEAN countries...?
